At Hawthorne he leads the business development, creative, digital and production departments. His expertise is in pitching and winning new business for Hawthorne and developing and producing accountable and measurable creative work for our clients. His areas of specialty include automotive, airlines, beauty, consumer packaged goods, financial, housewares, insurance, entertainment, kids and family marketing, retail and technology. Prior to Hawthorne, John has an extensive resume of agency experience. Most recently he served as executive creative director at Havas Edge, RAPP, Publicis and Tracy Locke, where he was also a partner. He developed and executed creative strategy and integrated campaigns for global clients including AAA, American Film Institute, Assurant Health, Bank of America, Barbie, Blockbuster, Caesar’s Entertainment, California Pizza Kitchen, Cigna Healthcare, ConEdison, DIRECTV, FedEx, Frito Lay, The Humane Society, General Mills, GlaxoSmithKline, Kraft Foods, Lexus, LifeLock, Nestlé, Neutrogena, Northwest Airlines, Old Navy, Pepsi, Pizza Hut, ProFlowers, Quicken Loans, Radio Disney, RC Cola, Style Network, Taco Bell, Toyota, Toys ‘R Us, Universal Pictures, Universal Studios Hollywood/Florida and Wham-O. John has won numerous awards, from New York Festivals to Effies — and even a coveted internal Cheesehead award from then Pizza Hut CEO Mike Rawlings for launching two new Pizza Hut products. However, his favorite award is always to achieving effective results for clients.
