Alvaro, a native of San Sebastián – Spain, has spent 20 years creating and executing engagement programs in Europe, Latin-America and the United States. After a successful career at BBDO Spain (CP Proximity & Contrapunto) he moved with his wife and three daughters to Dallas and later to New York, where he joined Ogilvy in2012.During his career, Alvaro held responsibilities as account manager, strategist and creative copywriter at top creative agencies and his work for blue chip brands such as Jeep, Levi’s, Pepsi, Nissan, British Airlines, IBM, AT&T or Google, amongst others, has always been characterized for building valuable connections between brands and audiences. Alvaro’s multidisciplinary expertise, hybrid skill set and deep understanding of data, technology and creativity, give him a unique perspective on how brands can combine logic and magic to build long lasting relations with their customers. Since his arrival at Ogilvy, Alvaro has developed a proprietary planning tool for OgilvyOne (DAVE) as part of the agency’s positioning as leading Customer Engagement Agency. As Group Managing director he manages all business aspects related to clients such as Philips, Nationwide, Southwest Airlines, Ford, etc. And as the Domain Lead for Customer Engagement and Commerce heis responsible for the agency’s capabilities inthis area, as well of coordinating more of 400 specialists across all Ogilvy USA offices.
